The Blesta connector's Domain management service tab gives the authorised customer or administrator access to supported domain operations. Available actions depend on the upstream account, TLD and provider. A visible form does not remove ownership, protected-record or approval checks.
01 Open the correct service
- Sign in to the appropriate Blesta account and open the domain service assigned to the installed connector.
- Select Domain management and check the domain shown before making changes.
- Use the workspace's Overview, DNS records, Forwarding, Contacts and Security sections for the relevant task.
- Review the current values and requested versus observed states. Retain a before-change record for any service-affecting edit.
02 Work with DNS and forwarding
In DNS records, add or edit the intended name, type, value and TTL. Existing records use their current record keys. Provider-managed NS, SOA and protected records are not editable through this workspace.
Clear editable DNS records requires the complete domain name as confirmation and submits a destructive changeset. It retains protected and service-managed data, and approval may still be required. Export or back up the zone before removing records.
Forwarding offers website redirects and email aliases when available. A destination change may need verification. Request deployment only after domain and recipient verification are complete, then test actual web or mail behaviour.
Common questions
Why does the Security tab show different requested and observed values?
A lock or privacy change can be requested before the provider confirms it. Follow the operation and observed state instead of assuming the saved preference is final.
Can I clear the zone to fix a single bad record?
Edit the specific record when that is the intended correction. Clearing all editable records affects unrelated websites, mail and verification services.
Does cancelling the Blesta service delete the domain?
Local billing cancellation does not itself delete the registry domain. Domain renewal preferences and an authorised registry deletion workflow are separate decisions.
What if the tab reports permission denied?
Confirm the service's owner, assigned module account and upstream capability. Ask the administrator to correct the legitimate assignment; do not disable native session or request protections to bypass it.
